SCHOEPS Microphones Announces Desert Island Boom Set for NAB 2026

Compact modular set ideal for location sound and broadcast

LAS VEGAS, NV, April 19, 2026 -- SCHOEPS Microphones [Redding Audio Booth, Central Hall - C5411] will be at NAB Show 2026 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, April 18–22. The brand will showcase the new Desert Island Boom Set alongside the full Colette series and CMIT series.

SCHOEPS is expanding its Desert Island Set family with the Desert Island Boom Set: a compact kit built around the CMC 1 U microphone amplifier, the MK 41 supercardioid capsule, and the KMIT shotgun capsule, in the CMIT's signature blue finish, all in a robust Pelican Case.

CMC 1 U, MK 41 and KMIT — one case, two scenarios
The set reflects how boom operators actually work. Indoors, the MK 41 delivers the controlled pickup pattern and natural sound character that dialogue recording demands. Outside, the KMIT provides the additional directivity needed on location. One amplifier body, two capsules. Swap in seconds.

The Desert Island Boom Set will be available for an introductory price of $3,950.00 in the US.

"NAB is where the whole film audio community comes together: colleagues, fellow manufacturers, during show time & late nights. And this year we have something new to talk about."

— Karin Fléing, Co-CEO, SCHOEPS

Visitors can meet Karin (SCHOEPS) and Scott (Redding Audio) at the booth throughout the show. Stop by, share a project you recorded with SCHOEPS, and expect a nice surprise.
