Rhodes Unveils Custom Shop ‘Marshmallow’ Piano in Pastel Pink
Limited-edition MK8 piano inspired by the pillowy forms and lighthearted spirit of classic marshmallows
Leeds, United Kingdom, April 9, 2026 — Rhodes Music announces the latest release in its Custom Shop series: the MK8 ‘Marshmallow,’ available to order from April 9 through April 23. Defined by a pastel pink finish and a refined, colour-driven design, this limited-edition model explores a softer visual identity within the Custom Shop line, while retaining the expressive sound and craftsmanship of the flagship MK8.
Marshmallow is part of the Rhodes Custom Shop, a series of limited-run MK8 pianos, each shaped by a distinct visual concept. Hand-built in Leeds, UK, by Rhodes Master Builders, each instrument is available for a limited period only, built to order, individually numbered, and will not be reissued once the order window closes.
Inspired by the pillowy forms and nostalgic tones of classic marshmallows, the design is expressed through a soft pastel palette. A pastel pink hood and matching hood strip anchor the aesthetic, flowing into the tolex base and cheekblocks to create a cohesive silhouette. Additional details include a matching front panel with rose pink preamp and FX inlays, custom rose pink dial caps, and silver-on-rose-pink logo plates. A colour-matched sustain pedal and footplate complete the design.
