KORG Announces the TM-1 Combo Tuner Metronome
TOKYO, JAPAN, September 16, 2026 — KORG today announced the TM-1 Combo Tuner Metronome, a practice tool that runs a tuner and a metronome at the same time in the smallest and lightest body in the TM Series. It reaches authorized dealers worldwide on September 16, 2026.
Every player gets judged on two things: whether they are in tune and whether they are in time. Most practice tools make you pick one. The TM-1 puts both in front of you at once, in a light weight package that disappears into an instrument case.
Two fundamentals, one display.
Run the tuner and metronome together and work on pitch and timing at the same time. The display provides instant visual feedback on your tuning as the metronome keeps the beat, helping you develop more consistent pitch and timing during everyday practice.
The smallest and lightest TM yet.
The TM-1 slips into a case pocket or a gig bag without anyone noticing it is there. A built-in foldable stand angles the display upward so it stays readable on a music stand, a desk or wherever practice happens.
Accurate across the range you actually play.
Detection runs from C1 to C8 with measurement precision within ±1 cent, covering the wind and string instruments that show up in rehearsal rooms and ensemble sections. Reference pitch adjusts from A4 = 438 to 450 Hz in 1 Hz steps for players tuning to an ensemble standard. Sound Out plays reference tones through one octave, C4 to C5, for anyone who would rather match a pitch by ear than watch a needle.
Keep the beat in sight.
Moving dots travel across the display so the beat registers at a glance instead of pulling your eyes off the page. Tempo runs from 30 to 252 BPM in single steps, and Tap Tempo gets you to the right pace in a few beats. Fifteen rhythm and beat variations cover subdivision work, shuffle feels and everything a lesson plan tends to throw at a student.*
*When the tuner and metronome run simultaneously, triplets, triplet shuffle, sixteenth notes and sixteenth-note shuffle cannot be selected.
Tune clearly in a loud room.
Band rooms are not quiet. Connect the optional CM-400 contact microphone to the 3.5 mm input and the TM-1 reads the instrument's vibrations directly, so pitch detection holds up when the built-in microphone is fighting everyone else warming up.
Black or white.
The TM-1 is available in black or white, giving you two simple options to match your instrument setup or personal style.
