From Live to Studio to Broadcast: Solid State Logic to Showcase Powerful Workflow Solutions at University of Texas at Dallas

Dallas, TX, September 24, 2026 — On Wednesday, October 7th at 7:00 p.m., Solid State Logic will present a live demonstration of content being mixed live on an SSL Live L350 Plus, then captured on an SSL ORIGIN EVO, and mixed for immersive music/broadcast on an SSL System T S500m — situated in the Sweetwater Airstream. The event, to be co-hosted by the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology and Sweetwater, will be presented by FOH engineer Bear Arispe and feature a live performance by The Funky Knuckles.

This live demonstration—which is open to all on a first-come, first-served basis—will showcase how SSL is able to bring studio-quality processing, flexible control, immersive mixing, broadcast workflow, and powerful live mixing capabilities together in a modern production environment. During the performance, the audio will be distributed to three production spaces simultaneously using Dante to transport multiple channels of audio:

In the performance theater, guests will hear the live mix processed through an SSL Live L350 Plus console
Multi-channel audio will be captured in the recording studio which features an SSL ORIGIN EVO console
Outside the facility in the Sweetwater Airstream, the performance will be mixed through an SSL System T S500m immersive broadcast console

Experience workflow in a true live-performance setting
Designed for live engineers, recording engineers, production teams, educators, students, and audio professionals of all levels, this event goes beyond a traditional presentation. Attendees will experience the workflow in a true live-performance setting—with musicians, microphones, a PA, an audience, and the connected technology required to produce live sound, studio recordings, and broadcast mixes at the same time.
