Digital Audio Denmark Announces DADman and Control|Pack Trainings for AES Live Sound Training Expo

Nashville, TN, February 17, 2026 — Digital Audio Denmark [NTP Room - 4C] will be presenting a full program of professional training sessions at the AES Live Sound Training Expo in Nashville, TN on February 24-25, 2026. The sessions will demonstrate the capabilities and versatility of DAD’s best-in-class Dante audio network control application DADman and playback management software Control|Pack for a wide variety of live audio applications. The sessions will also include a special workshop on Plugin Processing and Redundancy in live audio with monitor engineer Salim Akram [Billie Eilish, Finneas, Dijon].

DADman / Dante Workflow Session

Presented by Jon Schumann and Kurt Howell

An in-depth discussion on working with Dante audio networks inside the DADman control environment. Whether you’re new to networked audio or looking to streamline complex routing, this session will show how DADman becomes the command center for Dante-based systems.

Topics will include:

  • System setup and network configuration
  • Routing workflows between Dante devices and DAD hardware
  • Monitor control, speaker management, and cue workflows
  • Practical real-world applications for live sound, studio, and broadcast environments
  • Tips for efficient system design and troubleshooting

Control | Pack — Redundant Playback & System Control

Presented by Jon Schumann

A live demo and workflow deep dive into Control | Pack, the powerful redundancy and playback management software from DAD. Kurt will explain key features and show practical examples of how Control | Pack increases reliability and flexibility in modern production systems.

Including:

  • Redundant playback systems for tours and live productions
  • Effects processing / hardware inserts integrated with native DAW systems
  • Playback of virtual instruments and plug-in effects from host computers
  • Show control and scene change management for live performances and installations
  • Automatic backup source switching, such as microphone or input failover

Plugin Processing and Redundancy for Live Audio

Presented by Salim Akram and Jon Schumann

Salim and Jon will explore the practice of plugin processing for FOH and Monitor Engineers in live audio environments. This workshop will demonstrate how to utilize DAD hardware to create robust redundancy systems to add an extra layer of security to live audio workflows as well as offer helpful tips and tricks for navigating these processes.
