Better Sound, Made Simple: Introducing the GO link 2

Southport, UK, February 26th–– iFi audio are proud to unveil the next generation of their highly celebrated, highly portable USB dongle DAC – the GO link 2. Smaller and lighter than ever, the GO link 2 is the latest solution to compromised audio from low-budget laptop and smartphone DAC chips. Device manufacturers often settle for audio that’s ‘good enough’ for basic music playback, making for lacklustre listening. With Lossless and Hi-Res music more available than ever, there’s a growing demand for better quality audio than what phone and laptop manufacturers provide. The GO link 2 breaks this barrier, bypassing the internal DAC circuitry of the source device and effortlessly transforming it into a high-resolution music player.

Key Features of the GO link 2 include:
• Plug-And-Play Performance: Instantly upgrades headphone listening from any USB
device.
• Smaller Than Ever: iFi’s most compact DAC to date — 8% smaller and 29% lighter
than the original GO link.
• ESS Sabre DAC Inside: Unlocks up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM and native DSD256
audio.
• Dynamic Range Enhancement: Expands the gap between the quietest details and
the loudest peaks for greater contrast and impact.
• THD compensation: Lowers distortion by up to 62% compared to the original GO
link.
• iFi Nexis App Support: Selectable digital filters and over-the-air updating* via
mobile.
• S-Balanced Output: Reduces channel crosstalk by 50%, for cleaner audio
separation.

*All iFi Nexis functionality- including firmware updates, filter selection and volume limiting - are additional features exclusive to Android devices.

Hi-Res, Unlocked.
The GO link 2 inherits the powerful heart of its predecessor: an award-winning ESS Sabre
DAC chipset. Designed for incredible performance in a compact and power efficient
package, it has proven itself to be the perfect choice for enhancing your on-the-go listening.
With Spotify finally bringing Lossless audio to their listeners, and services like Apple Music,
Tidal, Qobuz and more bringing up to 192kHz to a wider audience than ever, the GO link 2
offers full support for the highest quality audio from all major Hi-Res music streaming
services. Better yet, with support extending to PCM 384kHz and DSD256, the GO link 2 goes beyond streaming and readies you for building a Hi-Res music library of your own.

Small Size. Big Statement.
The GO link is already famed for its compact size and feather-light weight, but iFi audio
challenged themselves to take this standout feature even further. Hitting the scales at 8% smaller and an impressive 29% lighter than its predecessor, the GO link 2 takes the crown as their smallest and lightest DAC ever.

Powered by Nexis.
The GO link 2 is the first model in the GO link range to include full compatibility with the iFi
Nexis app. Firmware updates can now be completed over-the-air in moments, without the
need for downloaded files or desktop computers. In addition, iFi Nexis compatibility opens the door to new customisation options. The GO link 2 offers two digital filters – hybrid and linear – allowing users to fine-tune the sound profile to their tastes.

Dramatically Dynamic.
Without a wide dynamic range, the standard audio from phones and laptops can sound flat
an uninteresting, with little to distinguish moments of calm or intensity. The GO link 2 brings your music to life like never before – buried within the ESS Sabre DAC chipset, the engineers at iFi audio have unlocked Dynamic Range Enhancement (DRE), adding an impressive 6dB of additional dynamic range between the loudest and quietest moments. The result is a greater distinction between moody moments of quiet and soaring crescendos, energising your music so you can fall in love with it all over again.

Distortion, Defeated.
At high levels, harmonic distortion can result in a harsh or muddy listening experience that
no longer represents the original audio. The GO link 2 includes enhancements unlocked
within the DAC chipset to minimise harmonic distortion for a cleaner, purer sound. By adjusting a specific correction factor within the DAC chip, this rarely used feature reduces
the second and third harmonics, reducing distortion by up to 62% compared to the original
GO link.

Balanced Performance for Everyone.
Balanced audio circuitry reduces signal noise and crosstalk but typically isn’t compatible with
single-ended headphones using a 3.5mm connection. This is where iFi audio differ – the GO
link 2 is the latest device to incorporate their proprietary S-Balanced technology. By applying balanced circuitry principles to a single-ended headphone output, crosstalk between headphone channels is cut in half, for maximum performance and minimum interference.

Pricing & Availability
The GO link 2 is available to purchase at ifi-audio.com and authorised dealers for £59/$59 USD/$89 CAD/€59.
