ADDAC System Unveils its 6x6 Stereo Matrix Mixer

Uncompromising in its quality, the new ADDAC814 allows for creative signal routing and also expansion

Lisbon, Portugal, October 29, 2024 — ADDAC System announces its latest innovation - the highly flexible and expandable ADDAC814 6x6 Stereo Matrix Mixer. Featuring different colored knobs for faster visual recall, the Matrix Mixer is an incredibly useful tool that allows users to control the volume of a given matrix point, and route it to any desired output.

The flexibility of a matrix mixer is far superior to a standard mixer, since the possibility of routing any input to any single or multiple outputs allows for very complex signal chains - including the possibility of combining parallel and series processing - while easily reconfigurable without any extra patching.

The new ADDAC814 Stereo Matrix Mixer is easily expandable to larger configurations, making it suitable for racks of all sizes - it can be configured to a 12x12 or 18x18 mixer, or other custom configurations such as 6x12, 12x16, 18x16 and more. Extra IDC sockets are used to accommodate these connections as expansion becomes warranted.

Flexible routing with clear visual cues
On the ADDAC814, all the Left channels are normalled to the Right Inputs. The faceplate features different colored knobs for faster visual recall: Black knobs for A, C, and E Outputs; Dark Red for B, D, and F Outputs; and Cream knobs for potential feedback diagonal: 1A, 2B, 3C, 4D, 5E, 6F. Since its circuitry is DC coupled, the Matrix Mixer can be used to mix both audio or CV signals - making it all the more flexible for almost any rack.

Jumpers on the rear side of both modules allow the user to set each channel independently to Line or Synth Level, making it easy to accommodate external sources such as external synths, sound processors or guitar pedals. On the front panel of the ADDAC814, blank areas are included the left and bottom edges allowing for the user to mark the input and output sources corresponding to each channel.

The ADDAC814 Stereo Matrix Mixer, ADDAC814 Controls Expansion and the ADDAC814 Jacks Expansion are available now for €340, €250 and €80 respectively. For more information on the ADDAC814 Stereo Matrix Mixer, including how its feedback diagonal functions and to explore many more of its features and operation, please refer to the manual available for download at the ADDAC System site. For larger matrixes, which can be discounted, please get in touch with ADDAC System at addac@addacsytem.com.
